Zasilanie z GPIO

Hej. Mam takie może i bardzo laickie pytanie, nie mordujcie mnie za nie. Chcę zrobić usypiany czujnik wilgotności i temperatury, który w stanie uśpienia będzie mi pobierał znikomy prąd. Wiem, że temat czujników usypianych był już wałkowany. Mam w związku z tym pytanie. Czy mogę czujnik zasilić z jakiegoś GPIO bezpośrednio, tak aby po wybudzeniu ESP podawało zasilanie na czujnik do momentu uśpienia, czy bezpieczniej zasilić przez tranzystor? Czujnik jakiego chcę użyć to AHT20, do sterowania użyję ESP12.
