Is it possible to put display to standby but leave element on?

Hi experts,

Does anyone know if it's possible to reduce the brightness of the home+ display, or put it to standby mode but still use the element?

In a bedroom the light from 'Pd' is quite bright - I would like the dot only (but still be able to use the element).

I'm not aware of any cover. Maybe you could try something like this:
